Spectacular, majestic and imposing, Cardona Castle is the only fortress that has never been conquered.

With privileged views of the Salt Mountain and the Saline valley, it was the ducal seat of the powerful “Kings without a crown” and the last point of resistance in the War of Succession. Today it hosts interesting guided tours and an excellent interpretation centre. A Romanesque jewel completes the visit: the canonical church of Sant Vicenç.
