30 million years ago the current Serra de Castelltallat was a flat area with lakes, pools of water and a subtropical climate. Near where the Can Prat Barrina farmhouse is now, many animals went to water it. Among them, specimens of Entelodon magnum, a predecessor of today’s wild boar, which left a good number of ichnites (fossilized footprints) on a limestone rock platform. Due to its good state of conservation, it is one of the best paleontological sites of this nature.
